Barbara has been a Registered Nurse since 1982 and held a variety of positions since that time. Her hospital experience was as an Orthopedic Nurse, Director of Nursing at a skilled long term care facility, medical record reviewer for Medicaid and Medicare hospital admissions, and lastly as a medical case manager and supervisor for a national company.
Preferred Case Management was established in 1998 as an independent medical case management company. Her previous experience in leadership roles provided the requisite skills to grow a business from the ground up. Initially, PCM began with two case managers and presently has over twenty consultants. She attributes PCM’s success to excelling in client responsiveness while providing quality services in a cost-effective manner. PCM’s consistent growth is directly related to the philosophy of fostering long-term relationships with insurance companies, clients, and employees. PCM capitalizes on efficiency by providing cutting-edge technology to consultants in the field to maximize their availability and management skills.
