Carol Banfield, RN, BSN, CCM Medical Case Manager – Northern Michigan
Carol has over 30 years of nursing experience and is a Certified Case Manager. Carol obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University. Carol is credentialed as a Gerontological Nurse since 1993 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Carol was also granted certification by the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration Long Term Care in 1999.
Carol worked for Grandvue County Medical Care Facility for seven years, receiving the Governor’s Award in 2002 while she was the Director of Nursing. Carol served on the Michigan Work Group in Lansing that developed the Practice Guideline for falls in 2001.
Carol worked as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant for six years. Carol’s has expertise in medical-surgical nursing and she has utilized that knowledge base in acute care and hemodialysis nursing, including home training programs, long term care nursing, writing a nurse aide training and certification program still in use.
In July of 2004, Carol joined the medical case management team at Preferred Case Management, LLC. Carol manages cases primarily in the Northern Michigan area.
